January Stamp of the Month

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!!!!! Welcome to the 1st  Stamp of the Month Blog Hop of 2015!

We will be featuring January's SOTM, which is this Moment, a set of 12 stamps.  If you have come here from Peachy Iris G. Lamb's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.

This month we have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using this month's SOTM and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Here we go!

I chose to make a grateful jar.  My sister posted something like this on FB and this is my take on it.  Starting Jan 1st write good things that happen on little pieces of paper.  Some of the suggestions where suprise gifts, accomplished goals, lol moments, natures beauty, memories worth saving, and daily blessings.  Then on Dec31st 2015 read all the amazing things that happened!!!  I obviously intend to use scrap B&T paper!!!  Below is a pic of the wrapper before it went on the jar so you can see ALL the awesome sentiments.
For this project I used a jar that I had laying around.  I also used the this moment stamp set featured on pg 17 of the Annual inspirations and the Hopscotch B&T on pg 19 of the Seasonal Expressions mini catalog.  Finally I used flaxen, glacier, smoothie, and sunset inks and lagoon shimmer trim to finish the edges on the jar.

Now "Hop" on over to Teresa Scrivens' blog  to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and other fun ideas! Remember, the Jan SOTM is only available until the last day of the month!  Contact your CTMH Consultant (or click here) to see how you can get this stamp set at a discount!

Card Chatter Sympathy

This is the kind of card that is hard to make anytime of year but especially at this time of year while everyone is celebrating the birth of the Savior some are losing loved ones.  Normally I have a stack on hand of these I will sit down and make a dozen or so just to be ready and not caught in my own grief.  However this has been an unusually sad year with more loss and grief than I think anyone could bear but my God is good and I know that this too can bring good to those who love him.

For this card I used one of my favorite B&T papers Dakota!!!!  I also used Pacifica Cardstock, a shimmer brad, the stamp set Card Chatter D1476, and the chevron border punch on pg 182 of the Annual Inspirations Catalog.

This card was inspired Cas(e) my sketch layout #104 follow this link to see more cards using thias layout Cas(e) my sketch layout #104

Merry Christmas

I pray that you all have time to be with friends and family as we celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the Lord!!!

These cards where inspired by a card I saw created by Gail Gross I loved it and knew I'd have to make it my own for the Ellison Christmas Card this year.

For these cards I used silver and Lagoon Shimmer Trim, Sky ink and cardstock, silver embossing powder.  The backgroud stamp is the chicken wire looking one from Distressed Backgrounds Flair D1544, the inside sentiment is from Everlasting Life D1440 and both the stamps on the front are from Sing Glory C1587.

NO RULES ! ! ! ! !

Now this is the challenge I've been waiting for no rules just let the creative juices flow.  Well If you've been checking in lately you know I've been trying to finish scrapping my summer vacation pics before the Christmas photos start rolling in.  I LOVE the WANDERFUL B&T papers and for this layout I used the workshop on the go featured on pg 113 in the Annual Inspirations Catalog.  So this layout has ink, embellishments, stamps and B&T papers!!!! I feel SO liberated!!!!  The only thing I changed was the size of the photo boxes to fit what I wanted them for and some of the bling to match my tastes.  this layout came together super quick since the instructions where all right there in the Workshop kit for me.

NO B&T paper ! ! ! ! ! !

This by far was the toughest challenge this month to SCRAP a layout with NO B&T paper!!!! Oh my . . . I mean lets face it that it is one of the reasons I'm a consultant because I'm addicted to the papers CTMH carries.  I love there weight and that they are double sided and well you get the picture so for this layout I decided to go to my stash and see what I had leftover from my BC days (before consultant) and I found some paper studios glitter paper.  Oh glitter can take away any crafting blockages my brain is having.  Since my son was sweet enough to take some pictures last summer of the softball team I played on I new these would work GREAT with a two tone layout.  I used my Artbooking cartridge to cut the overlay out of Pacifica carstock. I then used some of the glitter scraps to peek out of random areas on the overlay. Mounted all my pictures with gold glitter paper and cut my softball using my old sizzix lollipop set.

No Embellishments

Oh how these no challenges and I have gotten along.  I initially thought there was No way I would be able to stay true to these challenges but with the Picture My Life Scrapbooking program these pages came together SO fast and I do not even miss all the NO items.  This page uses 4 of the 3x4 cards from the Wanderful set and 1 4x6 card from the Surf's Up Picture My Life set.   Both of these and many more can be found on pg 147 for 24.95 each.
Now to be inspired by more of really NO Embellishments follow this link H2H.

I used the Designer cover and some washi tape that is it then this page eas ready for me to add some journaling and tucked into a book.  Fast and simple. So here is my first layout.

November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop

Welcome to our It's the Little Things Blog Hop!  We will be featuring the November Stamp of the Month which  features 15 adorable stamps.

If you have come here from Jen Patrick's Blog, you are on the right path! The blog hop is a great big circle, so you can start here and work your way all around.

This month we have over 60 Close To My Heart Consultants sharing their creations using It's the little things stamp set and other great CTMH products on their blogs. This is simple to do - just click on the link at the end of the post on each blog to move to the next one! Grab a steamy cup of your favorite beverage and hop along with us!

For this card I was inspired by the Sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch.  To see the sketch scroll to the bottom of this post or follow this link Cas(E) #98.  To create this card I used Gypsy and Whisper Cardstock, and Purple Shimmer Trim.  To achieve the multiple ink look I created my own ink pad.  To achieve this technique I used Cranberry, Pacifica, Gypsy, and Olive re-inkers.  On a paper towel I randomly put about 5 drops or so of each color.  Making sure that my DIY "ink pad" was at least as big as my largest image to be stamped.

THANKS for hopping by it is now time to "Hop" on over to Judy Burger's Blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their Blogs to get some great crafting ideas and feel free to leave some love in the comments. Contact me or your CTMH Consultant to see how you can get this adorable stamp set and or other products used!

MIDNIGHT challenge

Well with H2H challenge this week being midnight I couldn't help but scrap the costume fun from last year!!!!  For this layout I used Goldrush, Thistle, Slate, Autumn Terracotta, and Black Cardstock and Inks.  I also used the Scardy Cat and Pathfinding Paper pack.  The pumpkins are cut from the Artiste, the Title is cut from the Artfully Sent, and the banners are cut from Art Philosophy  Cricut Cartridges.  I also used some shimmer trim and triangle studs to and a little bling.

While I was cruising my favorite inspiration websites I notice over at Color Dare that the Challenge was Thistle and Sunset. SO I was tickled that this layout would work for there challenge too.

Cranberry, Lagoon, Goldrush, & Desert Sand Challenge

This week the Challenge at H2H is a color challenge.  The colors are Cranberry, Lagoon, Goldrush, & Desert Sand as used on the card at the bottom of page 93 in the Annual Inspirations.  I took the chance to blow the dust off one of my FAVORITE FALL stamp sets Fall Harvest as seen on page 55.  I love this triple stamp technique I cut 2" x 3-1/4", 3" x 4-1/4", 4 x 5-1/4 out of white daisy and 2-1/4" x 3-1/2", 3-1/4" x 4-1/2", 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" out of Goldrush cardstock.  I stacked the White daisy then random stamped my leaves.  The final touch was a little bling sequence to draw the eye to my sentiment.

Scrapping Selfies . . . . well sort of

This month the scrap challenge at H2H is Scrapping Selfies.  I was feeling a little intimidated until I was reminded that timers where put on cameras for the original "selfie" so now I had plenty of pics to choose from. I settled on these goofy pics of my kiddo and I last year.   We thought it would be funny to make silly faces and pose with our pumpkins.  I set up my camera and set the timer to go off in 10 seconds and thought whatever showed up would be hilarious.

For this layout I used a ton of bling, brown glitter paper, sparkle black flourishes, gold bling gems, Scardy Cat assortment, Pathfinding assortment, Scardy Cat Paper Pack, Thistle cardstock and ink, Black cardstock Goldrush ink, honeycomb embossing folder, and Artfully Sent Cricut Cartridge to cut the title.

Now it's to to see some more Selfie inspirations at H2H - Selfie Scrap

Her are some of my creations using the set . . . . .

A friend of mine is moving and I immediately thought this stamp would be perfect for a house warming gift tag. I just stamped the image leaving off for the holidays.  This is a bread band to go around a yummy pumpkin loaf.

I thought this stamp would work nicely for my kiddos graduation pictures.  The sleeve is cut with the Artfully Sent Cartridge  to fit a 4x6 photo.  Since its October I don't have the pictures yet of him in his cap and gown so I put a silly picture in the bottom one so you could visualize the possibilities.

Now it's time to keep on hopping and get some more great ideas for this set!!!  Here is the link to Wendy Coffman's Blog who is sure to have some great inspirations for this set.  Please  don't forget to visit each blog and leave some love in the comments!
