I really love the way the shimmer trim peeks through the arrows cuts from the Artbooking Cricut Cartridge.  3-D foam tapes is under the triangles from the oodles of doodles flair stamp set.  I also used charming chevron flair as well as the Circus Alphabet (sorry I couldn't wait to get this set inky it is only available in July).  The inks I used are honey Gypsy, Lagoon and Sweet Leaf.

She's Gone Country

Over at H2H this week the challenge is Country Flair. So I had ALL (yes sad but true) my pictures
un scrapped from our trip to the redwoods and the fair we went to in the cute town of Willits.  We loved visiting family and exploring the new neighborhood and we where lucky enough to be there for the fair.   In the page below I add pics from the town entrance and the food we ate at the fair as well as a pic of my son and I.

So for this page I used the Jubilee Paper pack, cranberry card stock embossed with the chevron embossing folder, Circus Alphabet (JULY STAMP OF THE MONTH) Artisan studs, topiary mini chevron ribbon, outdoor denim chevron ribbon, and three different washi tapes gold dot, wood grain, and honey triangles.

The lay out was inspired by the Creative  Scrapers #263 follow the link to be inspired by some really creative Scrappers : )

Emboss It Blog Hop

Hi Hoppers welcome to the Emboss it Blog Hop if you've hopped here from Krista Hershberger's Blog you are on the right path.  All of these creative ladies will be highlighting the NEW Embossing folders from CTMH these folders can emboss up to a FULL 5x7 piece of card stock and I think that is pretty AWESOME!!!!

If you did not see this clip when I posted it before here it is again.  It shows some tips and tricks for embossing a LONGER piece of cardstock than 5x7.

I chose to do a layout that highlighted the versitlity of the embossing folders.  I used four folders stripe, chevron, quatrefoil, and damask to emboss 4 pieces of 5 x 5 cardstock gypsy, smoothie, pacifica, and sunset.  Which also happen to be the Pantone colors that H2H are highlighting this week!!!  If you'd like to see more inspiration using the pantone palette follow this link H2H.

If your ready to keep on hopping hop on over to Michelle Jones' Blog to see some textured inspiration.

More Studio J . . . .Animal Crackers

I loved this paper pack when it came out but having a teenager and NO babies in the family I just couldn't bring myself to order it. . . . AND THEN we took a trip to the zoo and I knew I could use this adorable paper even though it is retired through Studio J so I upload my pics a voila great memories and a great paper pack.  I love how on studio J you can change the color of some of the papers.  If you look closely the base green paper is the same pattern as the blue I just used the color enhancements to change it to march my pictures and my preferences.

Each of these double 12 x 12 layouts is just $5 through the end of the month so start up loading those pictures.

Panatone CTMH 2014

So this is my post for my Guest Designer invite over at H2H.  When I read the challenge I said PanaWHAT. Pantone so I asked for a little clarity and googled it too for good measure.  So Haley was kind enough to send me a picture and here it is . . . ahhh colors you all know how I LOVE color!

So I decided to use all the colors listed and used the "Paint Chip" technique.  For this technique I used the Craft Color cubes and swiped them across the 12 x 12 White Daisy Cardstock until I liked the saturation level of the ink. I also used the Craft ink to ink up my alphabet  For this layout I also used gypsy, Sunset and honey Cardstock as well as ink.   I used the Stamp of the month for July for my title and the Hostess Stamp this is GOOD.

Would you love to check out some more PANTONE inspiration follow this link over to H2H.

Color Dare . . . . Sky, Sweet Leaf, Topiary

Hi there bloggers today I am highlighting one of my favorite techniques dry embossing!!!! I of coarse LOVE the new CTMH embossing folders but any that you have and love will do the job just fine.  I also was inspired by the Color Dare this week and last weeks CAS(e) challenge.  The colors for the color dare are Sky Sweet Leaf and Topiary.  I embossed the Sweet Leaf cardstock with the Quatrefoil Embossing folder this card highlights the awesome difference between CTMH folders and the others.  CTMH folders are a FULL 5x7 embossing area.  So it is perfect for a full sized 4.25 x 5.5 card.  I also used the chevron folder to emboss the sky paper.  Then I used Topiary ink to swipe the edges of the white cardstock and stamp the sentiment from oodles of doodles.

Lollydoodle Layout

Here is my 1st layout using Lollydoodle.  This layout was also inspired by a layout from the "Make it from the Heart" pattern booklet.  On this lay out I used the glitter paper as well as the NEW Marque Uppercase alphabet stamp set and the NEW chevron embossing folder on the sky cardstock.  The washi tape was just the right size to fill in those small openings so I used the Chocolate woodgrain and the Honey triangles as well as the zip strip from the paper.  So cute I can Hardly wait to scrap some pics of all three of my cutey patuety nieces.

I'm feeling LUCKY . . . .

As part of the Guest Designer Duties I've been creating cards for each challenge this month for Heart 2 Heart.  This weeks challenge is "Feeling Lucky" which is right this Irish girls alley!!!!

For this card I used the green glitter paper on my Cricut and if you read my blog regularly you'll KNOW I just love this glitter paper and how easily it cuts on the cricut. I do not know why it works so much better than the P***r S****o glitter paper and EVERY other I've tried but it does and its awesomeness just can not be over expressed in my book.  I also used the dotted embossing folder and distressed the dots with topiary ink.  I also used the oodles of doodles stamp set on pg 100 for the banner stamped in 2nd generation topiary and the sentiment smile in 1st generation topiary ink sweet and simple and that makes these Irish eyes smile.  If you'd LOVE to see more Lucky inspiration follow this link over to H2H.

Servant Event . . . .

Happy Sunday Bloggers!!!!! I am so blessed to help out with a servant event at my church.  We make cards for the shut-ins.  A shut in is a person who may not be able to get out and about and not have many people in the area to drop in and check on them.  So my part has been to design cards for the youth of our congregation to make for them.  So here are the 2 designs . . . .
For this card I used Ivy lane paper pack and the Dreamer stamp set.

For this card I used the babycakes paper pack and the oodles of doodles stamp set.

Here are some of those creative kids creating works of art.

Here are the cards !!!!! Each one is just as unique as the person who created it!!!! I LOVE all the creativity these kids displayed on these cards.  I pray that each person receiving one of these cards feels loved!!!

3 of a kind . . .

This week over at H2H the challenge is 3 of a kind.  So I knew this challenge was perfect for the stamp of the month Happy Place.  This card highlights the paper piecing technique.  On three different pieces of paper (in this case sky, ruby, and champagne cardstock)  then cut out the pieces that coordinate best and adhere together.  I love the flexibility that paper piecing lends to this card.  I was able to angle the little doll faces to look up at the larger mother figure,

For this card I used the Jubilee paper pack as well as the Arianna paper pack.. I used the scalloped punch, black and saddle ink as well.

Guest Designer . . . .

I am SO flattered to have been asked to be the Guest designer of at H2H this month!!!  the 1st challenge of the month is the scrap challenge and you know how mush I LOVE the scrap challenges at H2H! So this month's challenge is to use 1, 2, or ALL 3 of the cricut cartridges that CTMH offers so 'm sure you know that I miss read that and thought I needed all three cartridges represented in my layout which was pretty simple especially the way Artbooking Cartridge is set up.

For  this layout I used both Jubilee (one of my fav's) and Balloon Ride paper packs. I also used sunset and lagoon cardstock.  The  arrows are from the Artiste Cartridge, the text is from art philosophy, and the over lay is from Artbooking of coarse. Here is the link for more inspiration at H2H
