Inspired by Food

The final challenge in August is to be inspired by food!!!! Well as a wanna be foodie we have a TON, TON, TON of food pictures!  Narrowing it down to just a few hasn't easy but I finally settled on an impromptu cooking session with my boy.  We both LOVE Asian food and he has a passion for Sushi so we ran around town one day to pick up some yummy ingredients to make some California rolls as our 1st attempt. and the rest is scrappin history.  I some how missed printing the pick of him so I included it in the post and sent to my local print shop to get it in a jiffy.

Sweet Home Chicago

Inspired by a Song ...... Sweet Home Chicago by the Blues Brothers always runs through my mind as I look at these photos or spend time making memories with my family downtown.  So I had PLENTY of pictures to choose from for this challenge and FINALLY narrowed it down to our trip to the Taste this year.

Inspired by a Movie

One of the challenges this month over at H2H is Inspired by a movie.  I had a hard time thinking of one but my son came to the rescue.  My movie is Journey to the Center of the Earth.  While we where in Missouri this Summer Cave exploration was a great way to beat the heat, do something educational, and FUN!!!! So when I was chatting with my son about the "inspirations" this month he though the page I posted for the inspired by a book challenge was for the movie challenge and mentioned Journey to the Center of the Earth so that is how this page came to be for the movie challenge.

I used the timberline Scrapbooking WOTG, Timberline assortment, and my stickease.

Undaunted Courage . . .

Over the summer we did a bit of traveling and to kick things off we went to Missouri for some spelunking "cave exploring"  It was so neat to see the wonder and excitement in my nieces and nephew.  So when the challenge was a book over at H2H I knew I would use Undaunted Courage written by Stephen E. Ambrose. It is about the Lewis and Clark Expedition which we heard alot about on this trip and has always interested me.   I also used the sketch over at Creative Scrappers to get my Mojo on.

Getting Scrappy with Pathfinding . . .

Here is my1st of many layouts using the new paper pack Pathfinding.  I adore this paper and now I will be using it alot!!!!! This layout is also for a swap I am in so 9 crafty gals will be receiving one of these. I hope they love it as much as I do!!!! Then when I saw H2H scrap challenge this month was Nature with a distressing element I felt doubly blessed to share this layout for that challenge.  I posted close ups of the leaves and tile which are my distressed element.  So If you love to be inspired by more natural scrap pages with a distressed flare follow this link H2H!

Pathfinding Workshop on the GO Card Kit

Here is my twist on one of the cards from the Card kit for Pathfinding.  I just love all things fall and this set is NO exception well actually I think it is exceptionally WONDERFUL!!!!!  If you'd LOVE to make these I'm hosting a fall card class in September.  With the kit directions these cards come together in a snap even with my little twists.

What a HOOT meets CONFETTI

So the Stamp of the month set what a hoot is great for more than just fall and Halloween cards!!!! This card uses it with Confetti papers as well as liquid glass and the NEW SHIN HAN markers to color the sentiment.
