Here is a close up of the set . . . .

Her are some of my creations using the set . . . . .

A friend of mine is moving and I immediately thought this stamp would be perfect for a house warming gift tag. I just stamped the image leaving off for the holidays.  This is a bread band to go around a yummy pumpkin loaf.

I thought this stamp would work nicely for my kiddos graduation pictures.  The sleeve is cut with the Artfully Sent Cartridge  to fit a 4x6 photo.  Since its October I don't have the pictures yet of him in his cap and gown so I put a silly picture in the bottom one so you could visualize the possibilities.

Now it's time to keep on hopping and get some more great ideas for this set!!!  Here is the link to Wendy Coffman's Blog who is sure to have some great inspirations for this set.  Please  don't forget to visit each blog and leave some love in the comments!

My favorite EMBELLISHMENTS ! ! !

Heart to Heart has its final favorite challenge EMBELLISHMENTS !!!!!  This was another tough one for me to choose from there are so many that I really love and use ALL the time !!!!!
So I went with one have used a lot recently which is shimmer trim.  This is really an embellishment that adds a lot of bang for your buck; I love how it adds just the right touch of  bling to any project!  The complete assortment of colors is on page 172 of the Annual Inspirations

So this is my personalized/custom checkbook cover and or purse calendar cover.  I used Both Pathfinding WOTG stamps, Pathfinding paper, Colonial white cardstock, shimmer trim, Goldrush and Chocolate Ink.  I think this would also make an adorable card just cut it to size and presto.

My Favorite .....Tool ! ! !

This weeks favorite highlighted at H2H is TOOLS!!!!  My Cricut is absolutely my favorite tool !!!!! Althought my ink daubers where a very close second : ) So I used both to create this card!  I used my Cricut Artbooking and Artiste Cartridges. I also used the Scardy Cat Paper pack featured on page 39 of the Annual Inspirations Catalog.  I also used the zip strip from the Pathfinding papers for the crispy crunchy sentiment as well as Black twill ribbon, Autumn Terracotta ink, and black shimmer paper to help the face have a little bling!

Treasures preserved with Resist Embossing

Recently I was blessed to be give these old photo album's that haven't been seen in a LONG TIME!!! For a scrapper this is like lost TREASURE re-found!!!! I was tickled to see photos of family that I had never seen before and some people I have no recollection of meeting.  So to say the least this was an unexpected surprise.  So please feel free to stop back from time to time to see my journey to get these family treasures off the old acid based books into some that are archival safe.My 1st of MANY pages was this oldie but goodie of my family before I was born.  If I had to guess I'd say this photo was from early in 1976 judging by the age of my brothers.  Notice the blouse my mother is wearing ... it has butterflies on it so I guess this obsession I have comes honestly : )

Here is another example of resist embossing.  This time instead of daubers I used the NEW Shin Han markers to color the embossed area of the tree and family sentiment to make them appear to POP off the paper.  For this layout I used the stamp of the month Family is Forever, Yuletide paper pack, Shin Han Markers, and black cardstock.  I love the versatility of the Yuletide paper pack to be useful for more than just holiday layouts this looks nothing like Christmas to me.  To check out more favorite techniques follow this link to H2H

Creative Layouts . . . .

This layout has been inspired by the layout over at Creative Scrappers.  They always come up with something that I haven't thought of and it definitely adds creative spice to my projects and today's layout is no different.  here is the inspiration layout . . . . . and my take on it.

I know as a CTMH craft consultant I should be trying to expand the possibilities of the Chalk It Up paper pack . . . . but I think it's perfect for scrapping my kiddos Senior Year!!!! The eclectic pattern is perfect for a guy or gals school pics.  Don't forget to scan the QR code on page 29 to see this paper pack with the Workshop on the Go!

Color Dare meets Technique Challenge

Today I've been inspired by the my favorites challenges over at H2H. I'm a CTMH consultant so these favorites have been HARD to narrow down to just one and for most of them I had to post at LEAST twice because I LOVE LOVE LOVE so many that I CAN'T just say one is my favorite.  So for this post on my favorite technique I settled on is resist embossing because it is SO versatile!!!!!!

I let the colors featured at Color Dare Olive, Cranberry, Sorbet, Lagoon, and Pacifica be my palette for this project. I also used the stamp set Your own Kind of Wonderful as well as clear embossing powder that i mixed with Prisma Glitter which I've been hording away in hopes that CTMH will bring it back SOON!

So for this technique after I used my versamark and heat gun; I used a dauber to swipe the colors over the embossed image.  This makes the images pop as the embossing resists the ink leaving it white.

Another Confetti Card using Pathfinding Cards WOTG

When  I sit down with all my goodies to get crafty some days I have a ton of time and like to just see what happens other days I NEED to finish a stack of cards in a small window of time so those I love, care about, or need to thank are not waiting until the next ice age to hear from me.  That is when I grab some direction and inspiration from a how to book or in this case a WOTG instruction sheet.  That way the instructions and the stamps are all set for me and I just need to get to cutting and adhering.  If you are anything like me...... lets face we LOVE to craft no matter if its just for 20 minutes or 20 hours (yes I've done that) I just want something to show for my efforts at the end that is lovely.  So here is another card from my most recent stamping session.  I think I made about 10-12 cards in just about an hour.

This card uses Pacifica and whisper Cardstock, stamps and bling from the Pathfinding WOTG, Pacifica and Thistle Ink, Purple and Silver Shimmer Trim, and Confetti Papers.

Confetti meets Pathfinding Cards WOTG

So I'm always looking for ways to get the most bang for my buck and crafting is no different.  So today I'd like to share some cards I made with Confetti papers AND the layout directions from the Pathfinding Card WOTG.  I love being able to sit down with WOTG directions and crank out something beautiful in a reasonably short amount of time.  So keep those WOTG directions from kits past and give some new products a classic twist.  I like to keep the coordinating stamp set with the directions so I have everything I need at my finger tips.

So for these cards I used the Confetti Paper Pack, Sky, Thistle, Honey Cardstock and inks as well as Pacifica ink, Pathfinding Cards WOTG Stamp set, purple shimmer trim and thistle ribbon. Until next time happy crafting!

Fall is in the Air . . . .

It is definitely starting to feel like fall around here!!!! The last 2 days have been chilly and brisk and even one of my favorite sites had a fall challenge last week.  So I decided to jump on the band wagon and make this card that was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches.

For this card I used stamps, paper and sequins bling from the  Pathfinding WOTG Cards collection as well as Bronze Glitter Trim, a leaf cut with my Cricut from Autumn Terracotta Cardstock. I hope this inspires you to get crafty!!!!

My FAVORITE #2

As soon as I saw the challenge this month at H2H I knew  had to break into my stash of Laughing Lola.  I thought this paper went perfectly with my pictures from the Black Light 5k. So I used Lagoon paper, ink and shimmer trim as well as the Laughing Lola Compliments that I've been hoarding away for the perfect layout.  My title is stamped with Handwritten print and colored in with ShinHan Markers Leaf green, Golden Yellow, Lavender, and Cerulean Blue.

Here is the Link to check out some more FAVORITE's over at H2H.

My New Favorite . . . .

The scrap challenge for September is your favorite color combo. You know I couldn't settle on just one so this is my NEW favorite color Combo in the Annual Inspirations is Confetti and is also the featured colors over at Color Dare.

I knew this paper pack would perfectly feature the pictures I took at the Color Vibe 5k this year.  My friend did her 1st 5k as well as my sisters kids.  We had a blast and I LOVED scrapping these memories using Confetti!

I just LOVE the look of Thistle, Pacifica, Canary, and Crystal Blue together.  For the title I used the Frame work alphabet set with the NEW ShinHan markers Lavender, Peony, Golden Yellow, Cerulean Blue and made it pop with liquid glass.  I used purple shimmer trim to bring some bling to my layout as well as the new black arrow washi tape, slate twist ties, crystal blue cardstock and ink, canary cardstock and ink and Thistle ink.
