Pacifica, Sky,& Case this sketch too . . . Oh my

So I'm still getting back into the swing of things after coming home from South Dakota and finding my water inoperable for 3 Days !!!!! So I'm pleased to say I squeezed in 2 challenges in one post whop whop.  Over at Color my Heart the challenge is Pacifica and Sky then over at Case this sketch this is the sketch . . .

So for this card I used my paper crimper to add texture to the sky Cardstock.  I used the Cricut Artiste cartridge to cut out the word bubble out of Pacifica and added my sentiment and backed it with CTMH's FANTASTIC glitter paper.  All the cardstock is distressed in the coordinating ink.  I used some glitter trim for the banner. Viola

SO her are the links for you to check the other GREAT ideas out CAS(E) and Color Dare .

Artbooking in August #4 -mini

Welcome to the final and 4th week of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop. Every week has been better than the last and Last week's artwork was so INSPIRING so this week is well ya know.

I am SUPER EXCITED to see what everyone has created! If you've hopped here from Paige Dolecki's blog you are in the right place!!!

Remember this is a circular blog hop and if you get lost or confused along the way, the list is posted on Adeline's blog here.

So this week I have created a mini album using the new Artbooking Cartridge.  Here is the cover and more photos are to come . . . .

This is the page that is the base photo mat 1 for the #1 key.  In Cricut Craft Room I used this page to make the holes on the pages that I wanted to stretch to 8in.

The next page is the shift key photo mat 2 stretched to 8in I also used a text box in the craft room to smoosh (yes technical term) it on the end of the page.

with the craft room this cartridge has endless possibilities!!!!!!!

This page is the #2 key photo mat 1. This page has the twist ties Glitter paper and many arrows and text bubbles from various keys.

The following pg is the #1 key photo mat 1 shift. The background is from the #3 key overlay sized to 8 in as well as washi tape and twist tie.

This is the last page cut from the #2 key photo mat 1 shift.  this page is not quit finished I was hoping to put photos that my son took from the viewer of Mount Rushmore . . . alas my studio J order did not arrive in time so I just put a few arrows over it pointing to a blob of adhesive that will be covered when the photos arrive.

Now it is time to Hop on over to Marie Flayer's blog to see her fantastic project!!!!

Artbooking in August #3 - Back to School Goodies

Wow - this month is flying by! Welcome to the third week of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop! The last two weeks over 30 consultants have inspired us with their creativity! If you have been following our blog hop, then you know the ladies were presented with a challenge to create!

Their challenge was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack. Their mission was to design each of the following:
1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or 'giftable' item

Remember this is a circular blog hop and if you get lost or confused along the way, the list is posted on my blog here.

My giftable item is for back to school today this little treat holder holds approximatly 4 Hershey's nuggets the perfect treat for my little man heading off to start his Junior Year!!!! Where does the time go????

For this project I've also used the Artiste Cartridge to make the treat holder.

Now it's time to hop on over to Marie Flayer's blog

Frosted Swap

Good Morning Crafters!!! This is the swap I made for the Frosted Paper pack in the new catalog.  Then I noticed over at H2H this week they are using the Sentiment as a focus challenge. Woo hoo I love it when I have a layout on hand that works for a challenge!!!

So this card also features our WONDERFUL glitter paper that so easily and cleanly cuts through my Cricut.  I used the Artbooking cartridge to cut the sentiment and the snowflakes. Plus the mat can be used again (LOVE CTMH Glitter paper).  The cardstock is Crystal blue and all the papers are distressed in Twilight. If you'd love to see more click here H2H

Rock n Roll Huntington Swap

Here is another Swap I've been working on.  Ah another great stamp set and more paper to LOVE!!!! Today I used the Huntington Paper pack with the perfect fit thanksgiving stamp set.  The base layer is Goldrush cardstock all distressed in Barn Red.  I stamped the focal image in Goldrush then rocked and rolled the tail portion in Barn Red.  I then popped it up on the New Jute Ribbon and square studs in the corner. The sentiment is also in Barn Red.

Ombre

Here is a sneak peek at my upcoming post for the 2013 Fall Winter New product blog hop on August 15th.  This layout is also one of the many swaps I was working on before my trip out of town.  Below is the video that inspired this title.  Just as she mentions in the video I think the "bubbles" give each title personality : ) I hope the ladies that receive the double 12 x 12 layout love it too!!

And here is the Video to help you make your own.  A tip I find VERY helpful is to use an OLD Cricut mat to hold your images still while you "paint" on the liquid glass. I also used an empty tea light as my mixing cup, easy to see through, clean up was a snap with water.  I also used a Popsicle stick as my "brush".

These may be my 2 FAVORITE items in the new catalog!  Ok at least the top 5.  This stamp set is a must have for a "boy" house or if you are going to scrap a new driver !!!

The bling is from the babycakes assortment, the ink is black and slate.  The Car is stamped in craft ink then my pre mixed prisma glitter and embossing powder to give it that SUPER COOL glimmer.  The paper is distressed in pacifica.

CAS(E) this Sketch and some scraps . . . .

Here is this weeks sketch. I had LOTS of Scraps left over from preping my swaps to go out this week.  So threw some together to create this card.

The background is spritzed in gypsy with some create a shade mixed in for shimmer.  The Focal image is from one of the stamp sets that come with the Cricut Artbooking.  The sentiment is one that did not make the cut for a scrap layout for a swap cut from Cricut Artbooking.  The liquid glass is leftover dyed with lagoon re inker and painted on (super cool technique) not bad for the rejected scraps laying around huh.
I'll post the cards and layouts that did make the swap next week as well as the NEW PRODUCT BLOG HOP on the 15th.  So keep coming back.

Artbooking in August #1 Card

Wow we have about 40 ladies in this blog hop and EVERY Monday this month we will each feature one of 4 projects! The projects include a double 12x12 layout, a card, mini book, home decor or giftable. So sit back and grab a something sweet to drink and let yourself be inspired!

If you've hopped here from Paige Dolecki's blog you are in the right place. This is my Artbooking creation for week one.  This card is for a horizontal card swap using my paper pack of choice.  WHAT chose just one . . . . well I just couldn't so this card uses my 2 Favorites from the current catalog.   I LOVE those sunburst layouts that are so trendy right now but I'm not to crazy about the cutting.

WELL I used the "T" key on the Artbooking Cartridge. It  has 2 layouts using the starburst and the "10things" key has 2 as well. For my card I thought the "T" key using overlay with shift on was the one that worked best. In the Cricut Craft Room I sized it to fit a 4.25 x 5.5 Card.  I then cut 2 one in Laughing Lola and One In Pro Player.  I inked the Proplayer with Pacifica craft ink and Laughing Lola with Gypsy.  The sentiment is from Casual Expresions.  The circles for the sentiment are from the "allstar" key on the border setting with shift on;  one is cut at 1.5 and the other is 1.75.  Last but not least I used Liquid glass on stars cut from the Coordinating papers using the "m" key set on icon at .55.  Well now it is time for you to keep on hopping over to Marie Flayer's blog to be inspired!

MoJo Monday Meets Ombre

I love this technique !!!!! It is so much fun blending colors!  On this card I used Hydrangea, Lagoon and Petal inks.  Petal and Lagoon card stock and the Laughing Lola B&T Duos paper pack.  Black glitter ribbon, and a true thank you stamp.  Here is the link to H2H

I also used the Mojo Monday sketch for inspiration which can be found here MoJo.
